The Great IP Giveaway Debate
Take part in what promises to be a lively
exchange of views between business people, IP
professionals, academics and politicians about
the ground-breaking decision by Glasgow, Bristol
and Kings College London research universities
to give away their intellectual property. The
debate will explore whether this model should be
more widely applied, and whether it will help
boost innovation and the economy.
The motion: ‘This house believes that, in
order to speed economic growth, universities
should give away their intellectual property to
private enterprise’.
